Mark’s birthday was yesterday. I waxed his back, made him breakfast, he went to the gym and went to judge a Magic card tournament (took Locke with him), we went swimming, went to El Gayo Giro, then played games at Marin & Jeff’s. Nothing crazy- just a generally good day.

Mark gave Locke his first beginning of the school year blessing today! I can’t believe Locke starts kindergarten tomorrow. Having him at BYU preschool this last year has prepared all of us pretty well for this transition! It should be fun to just have the two girls for a few hours each week.

We had our final design center meeting for our new townhouse today. Everything went super well and came in right around the budget we were hoping for! We do have to decide whether to spring for a frameless euro shower enclosure or just go with the chrome framed doors. So tough. 😉 #firstworldproblems I’m pretty stoked for it all.

Tonight was back to school night for Locke. He got to meet his new kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Werner. I am proud of him. He will do so well.

Liesel is learning how to pump on the swings. Higher higher higher!!!

Blythe is still our happy smidge.

Liesel turned 3 yesterday. On Friday Mark and I went to IKEA to get some play food for her new play kitchen. We got it all ready for her on Saturday. Mark also took her out to a daddy daughter lunch at Del Taco and to the “cake store” to pick out her cake flavor for the cake and cupcakes she had requested. We had a family potluck on Sunday and made her a cake and gave her the kitchen. She was “shy happy.” On Monday we took her to Hang Time with a couple other little girl friends and ate pizza. We had cupcakes with the neighborhood and bounced in the Kartchner’s bounce house. She is sassy and crazy and smart and loud and loves jumping and cuddling with Blythe, and painting her toenails and is terrible at whispering. But she tries. Love love love that buggle.
