First Solid Type Food

Rice cereal tastes like paper.  But I guess Locke does really like to chew on paper.  Plus novice attempt at photo processing (compare pictures 1 and 2).

Edit:

what the hail?!?

So we got permission from the land overlords to roto-till up our lawn – what amounted to approx 1/3 of our green space.  All for a lovely garden.  We planted seeds back in February and happily watched them sprout and grow on our warm kitchen window sill.   The weather was nice and sunny on April 27th and we decided it was time  for our little seedlings to broaden their roots in the big real world.  So we headed outside and got our hands a bit muddy.  We were such proud parents.  Then the unpredictable NW weather proceeded to sabotage our plans of veggie glory.  Curse you Matt Zaffino!  It hailed and hailed and hailed.  Boo.  Our plants DIED!  Well, not all of them.  Just the zucchini, beefsteak tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, orange peppers, and eggplants.  The red onions and carrots were apparently skinny enough leaf-wise to dodge the haily darts.  We have replanted.   We are resilient.  We will rebuild.

Baby Dump

Variation of a brain dump.  All those baby pictures that I want to have printed eventually – getting them out of the vacuous pit that is my computer’s hard drive – but that are essentially miscellaneous.  P.S. I love monster shoes.  I want these.

My Dog Jack

Remember Doug and Olivia Johnson?  They moved to Seattle in January.  Sad.  I want to visit them.  I never could convince Olivia to join my book club group.  But I did cajole her into making wreaths with me.  Christmas 2008, Fall 2009, and Christmas 2009.  Hers were simple and tasteful – think pottery barn.  Mine were sparkly and garish – think forever 21. They had two dogs – Bruno and Jill.  They let us water their tomatoes when they were on holiday.  Don’t you just love the sound of going on holiday?  I want to go on holiday to Seattle and visit Olivia and Douggers.

Art of Weddings 2010

The one wedding show I have committed to be in every year.  Hard to pull off at one month post-partum.  More pictures on my word website/blog (www.fleurbliss.com).  But here is a sampling:
